NFL:

The Dolphins have opted to start Chad Pennington rather than Chad Henne in their game against Tennessee on Sunday. Interceptions thrown by Henne have stalled potential TD drives for the Dolphins who are currently 31st in the NFL for TD's.

Miami has signed former Green Bay cornerback Al Harris, who after coming back from a severe knee injury was released by Green Bay on Monday.

Carson Palmer and Tom Brady did not practice today. Brady due to a foot injury, and Palmer with a sore throwing shoulder. New acquisition Shawne Merriman was also injured in his first practice with the Bills.


MLB:

The Red Sox have shown interest in catcher John Buck. Buck was an all-star for the first time last year.

Jeff Francoeur has cleared waivers, and is now a free agent. He was put on waivers by the AL champion Texas Rangers.

Yankees GM Brian Cashman is reportedly flying to Arkansas to meet with free agent pitcher Cliff Lee. Lee is perceived as the top free agent this offseason.
