P&W's NFL Power Rankings: Week 9

Eli Manning and the Giants are on the Right Track. Courtesy of naturalnews.com
  1. New York Giants (6-2) – The Giants are dominating opponents these days with a potent offense and a great defense. Top of the league.
  2. Pittsburgh Steelers (6-2) – Just took down the pesky Bengals on Monday Night Football with defense and opportunities.
  3. New England Patriots (6-2) – Lost to the Browns, but this team still has the patriot way about them. They will keep succeeding.
  4. Baltimore Ravens (6-2) – Flacco and the offense have turned it up a notch as expected. This team is ready for another tight AFC north race.
  5. New York Jets (6-2) – After being shutout by the Packers a week before, the Jets eked out an OT win against the Lions. Tough win, but still very good team in the AFC East
  6. Atlanta Falcons (6-2) – Matt Ryan continues to dominate at home as the Falcons look to get a stranglehold on the NFC South as soon as possible.
  7. Green Bay Packers (6-3) – Aaron Rodgers is playing out of his mind this year. Packers continue to play solid football heading into the second half.
  8. New Orleans Saints (6-3) – Saints destroyed the Panthers and I still consider them the class of the NFC
  9. Indianapolis Colts (5-3) – As long as Peyton Manning is there, the Colts will stay strong.
  10. Philadelphia Eagles (5-3) – Vick’s return to the lineup was exactly what the doctor ordered for the Eagles faithful. Wildcard berth seems imminent.
  11. Tennessee Titans (5-3) – Will Moss help Young? Titans need to stride forth to prevent missing the playoffs two years in a row.
  12. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-3) – Josh Freeman is playing extremely well as the Bucs are neck and neck with the Saints for a wildcard berth.
  13. Miami Dolphins (4-4) – New quarterback, new problems. Get the ball to Brandon Marshall and everything should be fine.
  14. Chicago Bears (5-3) – Jay Cutler still sucks, but the Bears have a winning record in a tight NFC North.
  15. Kansas City Chiefs (5-3) – Matty Cassell is playing extremely well as the Chiefs took an old rivalry game away from the Raiders on Sunday.
  16. Houston Texans (4-4) – The Texans are still in the playoff race, but they need to get motivated fast.
  17. San Diego Chargers (4-5) – Great talent, big mistakes.
  18. Oakland Raiders (5-4) – Lost to the Chiefs but still in a murky AFC West race.
  19. St. Louis Rams (4-4) – I cannot believe the Rams have a chance to win the West this year. Stephen Jackson and company are playing above their heads.
  20. Washington Redskins (4-4) – McNabb is getting questioned, but the Redskins are still in the race these days.
  21. Seattle Seahawks (4-4) – Seahawks were destroyed by #1 New York Giants on Sunday but still control their own destiny in the standings.
  22. Jacksonville Jaguars (4-4) – Really ugly losses, but still remain .500
  23. Cleveland Browns (3-5) – Beat the Patriots… late season turnaround? Peyton Hillis sure as hell thinks so.
  24. Minnesota Vikings (3-5) – Bad coaching, questionable leadership, Randy Moss sure did mess things up…
  25. Arizona Cardinals (3-5) – The quarterback carousel is keeping this team from being a contender.
  26. Cincinnati Bengals (2-6) – Basically knocked out of the division race after losing to the Steelers.
  27. San Francisco 49ers (2-6) – Singeltary still believes, but I don’t
  28. Denver Broncos (2-6) – Losing ugly, just not that good of a team.
  29. Detroit Lions (2-6) – Suh is energizing this franchise, but Stafford is desperately needed.
  30. Dallas Cowboys (1-7) - Deplorable
  31. Carolina Panthers (1-7) - Understandable
  32. Buffalo Bills (0-8) – Just plain bad (able)
