P&W's NBA Power Rankings: Week of 11/15

Rajon Rondo and the Celtics have a strangle hold on the East. Courtesy of nationofblue.com

  1. Boston Celtics-- When the Celtics are on, they are the best team in the NBA. Bar none.
  2. Los Angeles Lakers-- The Lakers are the best in the west despite their losses. They have too much talent not to be at #2.
  3. New Orleans Hornets-- Hornets are still undefeated and going along as if Chris Paul doesn't want out. I like it.
  4. San Antonio Spurs-- A veteran team with young blood. If they can stay off the injuries, they are a contender in the west.
  5. Orlando Magic-- Dwight Howard has been doing a great job thus far and his supporting cast are doing their part.
  6. Atlanta Hawks-- A young team that is always picked to explode each and every year. Could this be the year?
  7. Dallas Mavericks-- Dirk is dominant as Marion and others help him win games.
  8. Utah Jazz-- Amazing comebacks in the last few games. Millsap and Williams have this team built up and ready to blow.
  9. Miami Heat-- Disappointing to see them down here but 4 losses will do that to you.
  10. Chicago Bulls-- Derrick Rose is really, really good
  11. Oklahoma City Thunder-- Durant and the Thunder were supposed to be the suprise team in the West. They're hanging around but I want to see more out of them.
  12. Golden State Warriors-- Curry and Ellis have this team on a roll right now.
  13. Denver Nuggets-- Carmelo is still playing extremely well but this team shouldn't be a threat late in the season.
  14. Phoenix Suns-- Nash is not playing well at all but the role players have stepped up in his stead.
  15. Charlotte Bobcats-- This young franchise may have a chance to blow up. I like their talent but they need to get it done in the win column.
  16. Portland Trailblazers-- Still very young and if they stay healthy, watch out in the playoffs
  17. Cleveland Cavaliers-- Proves Democracy does rule. This new look Cavs team is playing with emotion right now.
  18. Indiana Pacers-- Granger needs to get this team moving back to the playoffs
  19. Milwaukee Bucks-- Brandon Jennings is a pure talent and he has a good team around him to make some people sweat late in the season.
  20. Detriot Pistons-- The Pistons have a long way to go before they return to their glory days.
  21. New Jersey Nets-- Better than their start last year which is always impressive...
  22. Memphis Grizzles-- A young, talented team that I believe will make an impression on this league when the season is all said and done.
  23. New York Knicks-- Amare can't do it all and it will take a trade to get this team into thinking about the post season.
  24. Houston Rockets-- Just plain not good enough to compete in the West
  25. Sacramento Kings-- Not enough talent right now. After the draft I see a run at a playoff spot
  26. Minnesota Timberwolves-- Kevin Love is awesome, but he needs big time help
  27. Washington Wizards-- John Wall is a beast, just not beast enough to win every game.
  28. Toronto Raptors-- Where is the next Bosh? Not in Toronto yet.
  29. Philadelphia 76ers-- Just bad news across the board. Iggy is a bright spot on a cloudy day
  30. Los Angeles Clippers-- No wonder Blake Griffin didn't want to go there...
