P&W's NBA Power Rankings: Week of 11/8

1. Lakers (7-0) - defending champions and still undefeated this season...enough said

2. Celtics (6-2) - games have been ugly, but they have powered through a tough schedule to start the season

3. Heat (5-2) - have started well even with Bosh's weak beginning to the season

4. Hornets (6-0) - Defense is getting it done right now

5. Magic (5-1) - Beat a good Hawks team last night

6. Spurs (5-1) - young, energized players are making it happen

7. Hawks (6-2) - they have dropped two straight

8. Mavericks (4-2) - defended home court against Celtics last night

9. Trail Blazers (5-3) - embarrassed by Lakers in last game

10. Nuggets (4-3) - have fought threw injuries well

11. Thunder (3-3) - Durant is not getting much help

12. Suns (3-4) - Nash is struggling mightily

13. Grizzlies (4-4) - Rudy Gay is certainly doing his part

14. Warriors (5-2) - undefeated at home

15. Jazz (3-3) - big week coming up against Miami and Orlando

16. Knicks (3-3) - nice W in Chicago

17. Bulls (3-3) - Boozer needs to come back... quickly

18. Cavaliers (3-3) - if playoffs started today, they would host the Heat in first round

19. Rockets (1-5) - murderous schedule to start the season

20. Bucks (2-5) - Defense is not the problem

21. Kings (3-3) - 3 road wins to start the season

22. 76ers (2-5) - Elton Brand is doing his part

23. Nets (2-4) - have dropped their last 4

24. Pistons (2-5) - what happened to Rodney Stuckey? He was supposed to be Chauncey's replacement

25. Pacers (2-3) - Granger needs to get going

26. Wizards (1-4) - They're pretty bad, but at least they're exciting to watch

27. Raptors (1-6) - Someone needs to step up and take control of the team now that Bosh is gone

28. Clippers (1-6) - Tough schedule to start the year, but don't expect things to turn around too much

29. Bobcats (1-6) - Thought this franchise was turning around
.. guess I was wrong.
30. Timberwolves (1-6) - Not much to say. Bad management does not help either
